“Testimony of a Rich Man”

I am Jaime Parmis II, a native of Ormoc City, Leyte, Philippines. I was a sinner saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

I received Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior on February 28, 2004 while I was an Overseas Filipino Worker in IRAQ. I worked as Purchasing and Admin. Assistant in a company in Camp Anaconda, Balad, Iraq. I was attending a Christian service there when a Pastor prayed for me during the altar call. The Lord touched my heart and I became born again.

I saw how the Lord worked in my life more when my eldest son, James Joseph, who was born with a cleft palate (hairlip) was healed. The Lord used my American brethren to help my family get an operation for my son who was suffering for 7 years. It was totally unexpected. And now my son is totally healed, good-looking and living a normal life. Praise God!

I had three major life-transforming tragedies that almost took my life. First, Jesus saved me when I almost got killed on May 11, 2004 by a mortar bombing attack. Secondly, Jesus saved me from flashfloods that happened in Ormoc City, Leyte last November 1, 1991 which killed around 10,000 people. Thirdly, Jesus saved me from a motorcycle accident when I was around 5 years old in Cotabato City; wherein I had a near-death experience.

When I came to Bahrain in late 2004 I did not expect that I will meet a Christian Church here. I did not expect the Lord will use me especially in the Music Ministry. Serving the Lord has become my passion and I am praying that my family will be saved, too.

I am very grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for all the things He did for me and to my family. Praise the LORD forever! Amen!

Second, I have a mansion in heaven, John 14:2

Third, I have peace that passes all understanding, Philippians 4:7

Fourth, I have joy unspeakable, 1 Peter 1:8

Fifth, I have divine love which never fails, 1 Corinthians 13:8

Sixth, I have a faithful pious wife, Proverbs 31:10

Seventh, I have healthy, happy obedient children, Exodus 20:12

Eighth, I have true, loyal friends, Proverbs 18:24

Ninth, I have songs in the night, Psalms 42:8

Tenth, I have a crown of life, James 1:12
